I develop accessible software and advocate for developers, building communities around people-first projects.

I’m a Senior Software Engineer with 18 years building accessible, high-performance software. I specialise in web accessibility (WCAG), developer advocacy, and building tools that help teams work effectively. As a designer, frontend engineer, and full-stack developer, I’ve worked across product teams and communities, helping to shape how we build and advocate for inclusive digital products.

I focus on the intersection of accessibility, developer experience, and community. This includes conducting WCAG audits, training teams on inclusive design, speaking publicly about accessibility and architecture, organising community events, and writing about how technical decisions impact users. I believe developers have a responsibility to build for everyone—and that accessible design makes better products for everyone.

Talks

Blocking blocks: how to use limitations while developing custom projects

Starting with WordPress block editor features for blocking or disabling capabilities, I explored how accessibility constraints and intentional limitations empower users rather than restrict them. The talk examines developer responsibility: how technical decisions around what users can and can’t do directly impact their ability to work effectively. A deep dive into how thoughtful constraints serve accessibility, clarity, and sustainable product design.

Originally titled “Bloquejant blocs: com usar limitacions en la programació de projectes a mida”, this talk was in Catalan.

How to create a block theme from scratch

A quick guide on how to create a block theme from the perspective of someone used to create classic themes, but also explaining the basics so everyone can follow — even if they have no experience creating themes.

Originally titled “Cómo crear un tema de bloques desde cero”, this talk was in Spanish.
